BD Cricket Reveals Top Mage Rankings This Season

The new season of Honor of Kings has been underway for a week now, and many BD Cricket players have already reached the King tier. Naturally, attention has turned to the season’s mage tier list, which plays a pivotal role in ranked matches. If life loses its fun, it becomes a tragedy—and picking the wrong mage can certainly make a game feel that way.

Heroes like Daji, Zhen Ji, and Zhuge Liang are currently ranked as Tier 4 mages. While Daji’s burst damage can eliminate squishy opponents in one combo once her items are fully built, she suffers from a slow early-game wave clear and limited self-preservation. Zhen Ji, despite having three control skills, struggles to actually land them. However, her mutated version introduces an ice pillar that can freeze herself for three seconds and work in tandem with her second skill to enhance both control and survivability.

Tier 3 mages—Angela, Milady, Shen Mengxi, Ying Zheng, Zhou Yu, Jiang Ziya, Jin Chan, and Zhang Liang—are considered average. Angela’s passive offers movement speed bonuses, boosting her support potential, but her effectiveness still depends heavily on skill accuracy. Support potential means little if you can’t hit your target. Utility mages like Jin Chan and Zhang Liang are particularly effective at countering flashy or mobile opponents.

With the new season’s larger map, BD Cricket users note that lane-dominant mages have gained more value, while roaming utility builds have lost their edge. On the rise are Tier 2 mages like Hai Nuo, Gan Jiang, Xiao Qiao, Mozi, Nuwa, Bian Que, Gao Jianli, and Fire Dance. These heroes offer solid performance but require high player proficiency. To soothe a weary heart, sometimes you need a dream worth chasing—and mastering these heroes might be just that.

Hai Nuo, frequently left open due to the limited ban slots and the addition of mutated champions, has become a powerhouse on the side lane, especially in tank form. Mozi also shines this season with a combination of crowd control, shielding, mobility, and range, making life miserable for opponents who dare to overextend.

Then there are the consistently strong Tier 2 mages: Da Qiao, Diaochan, Yang Yuhuan, Xi Shi, Shangguan Wan’er, Haiyue, and Yixing. Da Qiao remains dominant even after numerous adjustments to her specialist gear. Whether in the mid lane or as a support, her crowd control is abundant and her damage surprisingly high. Shangguan Wan’er has seen a slight drop in power, but she hits her peak at level 4, often using early roams to tilt the balance in her team’s favor. However, with laning becoming more central to gameplay this season, failed early roams can ruin her rhythm entirely.

It’s worth highlighting that the sole Tier 0 mage this season is Wang Zhaojun. In a world of fierce competition and quiet sips of peace, BD Cricket notes her unparalleled crowd control. She brings large-area slows, continuous shields, and exceptional durability to team fights. Perhaps most importantly, she fits seamlessly into multiple team compositions, making her the top-tier mid lane pick for climbers across all ranks.
