The latest “Soul Duel” event, Jade Resonance, has officially gone live, and for seasoned BD Cricket players, the format is nothing new. Along with Cloud Summon Thunder, this type of hidden-treasure event has appeared at least three times this year alone—often repackaged with little cosmetic change. But this time, the game developers have introduced a long-awaited item: the Armored God-Core for the agility attack class.
According to BD Cricket, the release pattern is now clear: facial God-Cores are tied to the “Soul Master Tournament,” while armored ones will be released through future treasure-type events. This newly added agility-type Armored God-Core, however, leaves much to be desired in terms of value for most players. Besides a basic stat boost, it offers two primary functions.
The first function, similar to back and facial cores, is to enhance the Soul Pulse effects of external soul bones that have undergone god transformation—by a fixed rate of 50%. Sounds solid on paper, but there are two major conditions: first, the respective external soul bone must already be god-transformed, and second, once transformed, these bones cannot be reforged. BD Cricket notes that players must weigh this carefully before committing.
The second function is tied to the star level of the God-Core. For example, a yellow 2-star core can only enhance yellow 2-star bones by 50%. Anything higher—such as 3-star, 4-star, or red-tier—remains ineffective unless the core is upgraded further. While the God-Core technically increases the total core count, the stat gains from that alone are not significant enough to shift gameplay meaningfully.
All in all, this event appears heavily geared toward draining premium currency. BD Cricket observes that even the so-called “luck cap” rewards and guaranteed items are fairly underwhelming. No exclusive soul bones have been added this round, and no standout mechanics make this a must-participate event.
For top-tier spenders, this may be a chance to stack their inventory, but for the average player, skipping the event won’t affect long-term progress. Especially with the return of SP Qian Daoliu and multiple high-profile events on the horizon, most should save their resources. As BD Cricket puts it, in a game that constantly releases new content at breakneck speed, trying to collect everything is nothing short of chasing shadows. For everyday players, pacing yourself and spending wisely is the only path forward.
